JITO Ghatkopar Chapter successfully organized a Pickleball Doubles Tournament on Sunday, 18 January 2026, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Shivaji Technical Turf, Ghatkopar.

The tournament was open to all skill levels and followed a unique format where participants could register individually. No partner was required, as players were matched in pairs, allowing everyone an equal opportunity to participate and interact. The event welcomed players from Chembur, Powai, Matunga, Bhandup, and nearby areas, creating a vibrant and inclusive sporting atmosphere.

This tournament was open to Jain participants aged 18+, and JITO non-members were also welcome. With limited slots on a first-come, first-serve basis, the response was overwhelming, and around 80 players participated enthusiastically.

The format was Doubles (Unisex & Mixed pairs allowed). Participants played in a spirited and sportsmanlike environment. Paddles were provided at the venue, and players attended in comfortable sports attire. The event also included food and refreshments, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.The registration fee was ₹250 per person, and the event was very well coordinated. As a gesture of appreciation and encouragement, gifts were distributed to participants.

The Chapter extends its heartfelt gratitude to Shri Sunilji Doshi – Secretary,Shri Jitendraji Chhajed – Sports Convenor,Shri Keval Mamania – Youth Chairman, Krish Doshi ,Akash Parekh for their valuable support, presence, and contribution in making this event a grand success.

The tournament not only promoted fitness and sportsmanship but also strengthened bonding, networking, and community spirit among members.
